GSW currently manages the following projects:

SHA Works

SHA Works provides case management and employment services to individuals currently residing in Syracuse Housing Authority run properties.  Services include job readiness, job placement and retention services, training, family life skills education, financial planning, and civic restoration services.

The Parent Success Initiative (PSI)

PSI assits non-custodial parents to find and keep employment or improve their employment situation and improve their parenting skills in order to increase child support payments and improve their relationship with their children.  Services include legal assistance, family life skills education, job readiness, job placement and retention services, training, and civic restoration services.  PSI is currently running limited services and hopes to obtain new state funding in 2010.

Employment  Readiness Class

Through a contract with the Center for Community Alternatives, GSW has developed a 30-hour soft skills curriculum to prepare individuals for the workforce.  The class also prepares individuals to take the National Work Readiness Credential exam.
