Don't let more of our tax dollars go down the sewers!
The 7,700 foot pipeline scheduled to be built on the Southside of Syracuse is now two and half times (2.59 times) over budget!
Once again we, the taxpayers, are being asked to pick up the tab for a project that Onondaga County engineers simply can't manage.
Apply that same increase to other items:
- A $15,000 CAR would be $38,850
- An $850 COMPUTER would be $2,201.50
- A $3.39 GALLON OF GAS would be $8.78
We should NOT buy this pipeline! There are better solutions to the CSO problems, and much better uses of our tax dollars.
Read our Action page for alternatives to this pipeline.
Call your representative and tell them to vote against this wasteful spending! Click here for a list of contact information for county legislators!
Come to the public hearing on March 4th at 2:00 pm to the county leg to give support to a cost-effective, environmentally sound alternative to the massive pipeline! People wanting to speak should get to the legislature by 1:30 pm to sign in.
The bond resolution was voted out of committee which means there will be a vote during the leg session that begins at 2:30 pm.
